Traveling exhibition of photographs of Buryat photo artists "Dalai/The Sea", dedicated to Lake Baikal
feb-jun 2024
At the beginning of 2024, a competition was held, for which Buryat photographers sent more than 300 images. A professional jury selected the 50 best works. They help viewers explore the phenomenon of Lake Baikal’s unique natural ecosystem and see the people living there.

The name of the exhibition is related to the fact that the word "Dalai" is translated from the Buryat language as "sea", "ocean", and from the Tibetan language as "supreme", "great". Both values are suitable for the main character of the exhibition, Baikal.

The exhibition visited Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Ust-Ilimsk, Bratsk. Krasnoyarsk, Cheremkhovo and Tulun.

All-Russian creative contest "Baikal Evolution: People and Meanings"
apr 2024

The purpose of the All-Russian creative contest "Baikal Evolution: People and Meanings" is to create art objects using solid household and/or industrial waste, mainly plastic or complex types of waste. This is a great opportunity for artists, designers and other creative people to contribute to the preservation of the environment and draw attention to the importance of recycling.

There were requirements for the works — they should consist of at least 70% recycled materials, of which 50% should be available for further processing. It was important for the participants to include human household waste in the language of art, turning it into a real material for creating works of art.
